Should I be offended?

My mil is Moroccan...This (isn't a joke) she sent me a miniture teddy bear...glued shut in a jam jar!...You know the pretty ones with red/white checkered material on the lid.

I am four months pregnant...is this a cultural thing???...I thought it could be symbolic for the baby inside the belly.....but I do not think so...I asked my partner...he laughed n said she must be going crazy lol & also thought it was strange..and said he would have a talk with her.

....To tell you the truth I have never gotten along with her.....she has been mean..but she is definitely not crazy! She also has the habit of bringing food every time she is round our house...(moroccan sweets usually)...sometimes even hot food in containers. I guess she is being kind.

What do you make of her sending me a weird gift like this though?!
