When you make a tagine, do YOU actually use a tagine?

Sometimes I do but NOT always. My tagine from Morocco cracked but I have two tagines made in Portugal that I got at Tuesday Morning. I think they are overstock from Crate and Barrel. Do you do it the traditional way or do you just use a pot or a pressure cooker?
I use tagine, pot, or pressure cooker depending on my mood or the time I have.
